How to determine? When you combine two documents, incorrect results are displayed if changes are to be appended to an existing document. Assume that you run a macro to access document properties such as Paragraph, Styles, and Shapes in a document that has revisions in Word When you try to close the document, Word may crash. Diacritics such as accents or umlauts on uppercase letters may be missing in certain zoom factors and fonts.

Arabic-Indic characters are used instead of Persian characters if the numbers locale and keyboard layout are set to Persian. Footnote numbers don't appear as superscript characters in a document in Word Note This update only partially fixes this issue. Superscript characters now appear correctly on screen. However, in printed Word documents and in PDF files printed and on-screen , superscript characters appear as subscript characters.

A fix for this issue is scheduled for a future update. Equations that are created in Equation 3. Equations that are created through the native Word Equation feature are not affected by this issue. Note This update only partially fixes this issue in screen displays.

This update does not correct this issue in printed documents or in PDF files. Use Microsoft Update to automatically download and install the update. User's post on July 27, MacOS What are you talking about? Excel has workbooks, not Word. And if your documents always open in landscape, you have a problem. Portrait is the default for Word. Thank you. The method works though if you open the normal template, change the zoom setting and save the doc. But you also have to change the view setting in the normal template to whatever you usually use in my case print layout.

So if you save the new zoom as a draft doc then it will only open at the new zoom setting in new draft docs. How can I fix this?

This issue may have been caused by add-ins incompatibility. They can occasionally interfere or conflict with Word. This can also occur if Word is in use by another process. We'd like to know if you've made any changes prior to this issue.
